A/Prof Mahesh Choolani is an Associate Professor and Senior Consultant at NUHS, Department of O&G. A/Prof Mahesh sees both obstetrics & gynaecology patients, but his main area of interest is in High Risk Pregnancy care and Fetal Genetics. His interest has propelled him to pursue a PhD focusing on non-invasive prenatal diagnosis at Imperial College, London, UK.

 

Other areas of research are recurrent pregnancy loss, birth defects, non-invasive prenatal diagnosis, fetal mesenchymal stem cells for intrauterine fetal therapy and early detection of epithelial ovarian cancer. He was awarded the NMRC Clinician Scientist Award to continue his research in the prenatal diagnosis field.
