Neurosurgery

Overview

The key aim of the 36-month rotation in National University Hospital is to provide a well-structured, comprehensive and in depth clinical training in the core and the more subspecialised areas of Neurosurgery to enable each resident to function independently as an expert in the specialty.

Division of Neurosurgery in NUH is the main body of NUHS Neurosurgery Residency Training with two core faculty members and six teaching faculties. In addition, under the mentorship of very experienced senior clinicians and researchers, every residents will be nurtured and groomed to be independent and thinking medical leaders in their area of specialty. 

After completion of training, the residents will be competent to take the exit examination for neurosurgery and proceed for further subspecialty training in well renowned neurosurgical centres in overseas.
