Dr. Lahiri graduated from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (Delhi, India) in 1995. She did her post-graduation in Internal Medicine from the same institute, before coming to Singapore in 2001. She has worked at the National University Hospital since 2004, during which time she has obtained her MRCP (UK) from the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh, and has completed advanced specialist training in Internal Medicine. She is now training in Rheumatology. She is interested in rheumatic disease epidemiology and health services research, and will be pursuing further training in this field next year. Dr. Lahiri has been actively involved in postgraduate education initiatives in the department for the last 2 years, and championed the 'Physician advancement program' for medical officer trainees in 2007. She is married to a Hand surgeon, and has two lovely daughters.
