I choose NUHS because of the excellent teaching culture in the various departments.
With NUHS FM Residency based in an all-in-one hospital, it not only provides me with the training in integration of care across specialties but also allows me to practise continuity of care that spans across primary health to hospital setting.

Family Medicine is where I can be exposed to a broad-based learning and practice and to provide “cradle-to-grave” patient care, one aspect that I love to engage in.
I also hope to establish long-term relationships with my patients, and provide holistic care for them and their family.
I believe Family Medicine is where I can truly live up to the Hippocrates ethos – to care sometimes, to relieve often, to comfort always.

NUHS Family Medicine Residency Program provides opportunities to train a new generation of family doctors that actively partake in pushing the frontiers of medicine, while maintaining the tradition of caring for the patients as a whole.
Thus far, my time in this program has been incredibly rewarding. The guidance from the professors and physicians, and the encouragement from my colleagues have helped me grow as a doctor and as a person.

I chose NUHS Family Medicine Residency Program as NUH has always been a symbol of clinical excellence. Furthermore, residents are exposed to a wide array of clinical experiences. In no other hospitals is there such a diversity of specialties under one roof. This is important to equip residents with the skills necessary to work in a primary care setting. In addition, NUHS has a team of clinicians that is truly dedicated to teaching and education. I believe that this positive spirit of learning will definitely inspire and nurture us into better family physicians.

NUHS Family Medicine Residency Program is helmed by an impressive faculty with years of experience in clinical care, education and research. This has translated into a holistic and robust training program.
I am also impressed by the faculty’s sincerity and devotion to the residents. I was pleasantly surprised to have them phone me to answer my queries which I sent through emails, and for them to personally send birthday greetings to the residents.

I chose NUHS Family Medicine program as it offers residents a strong foundation and a comprehensive exposure to be a versatile doctor with good clinical acumen. Such training would equip residents with the skills needed to care for patients of all ages.
In addition, NUHS has a dynamic culture and an excellent learning environment. Throughout my clinical rotations, I have found countless professors and physicians who are exceptionally willing to share their knowledge and experiences with me. Thus I am attracted to the program as it embodies the spirit of teaching and mentorship with an outstanding faculty dedicated to nurture and develops residents to reach their fullest potential.
