A/Prof Siau Chiang obtained his MBBS and MMed (Anaesthesiology) from the National University of Singapore in 1994 and 1999 respectively. In 2003, he was awarded the A*STAR National Science Scholarships International Fellowship (Category II B) to train in pain research at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. He is currently a consultant anaesthesiologist with Department of Anaesthesia, National University Health System and his clinical interests include peri-operative pain management and ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia.

 

A/Prof Siau is also an Associate Professor with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He is the Director of Medical Simulation Training Laboratory, Department of Anaesthesia, NUS and has a keen interest in the adoption of simulation as a tool for healthcare education. He is actively involved in the development, review and teaching of medical undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum.
