Dr Tay graduated from Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 1997. He completed his specialty training in Anaesthesia in Singapore in 2006. He completed subspecialty training in Pain Medicine at Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney Children's Hospital and Calvary Hospital in Sydney, Australia in 2008.
Dr Tay obtained Master of Medicine, Anaesthesia, Singapore in 2004. He is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) since 2006 and a Fellow of the Faculty of Pain Medicine, ANZCA since 2008.
Dr Tay is the current Director of Pain Management Unit, Department of Anaesthesia, NUHS. He is a Supervisor of Training for post-graduate trainees. He is also an Assistant Professor with the National University of Singapore.
His professional interests includes multidisciplinary and interventional pain management techniques, ultrasound guided regional anaesthesia and simulation training for anaesthesia crisis.
