Locums (Blood Donation Centre)

 

The Department of Laboratory Medicine, National University Hospital, is seeking candidates who are interested to join us as a Locum in the Blood Donation Centre.

 

The successful candidates will be responsible for checking donors' eligibility by conducting medical screening to determine their suitability for donation. He/She will also be responsible for ensuring donors' safety throughout the donation process. The National University Hospital conducts about 8 to10 blood drives a year, and the minimum duration of a mobile blood drive is 4 hours per trip.

 

Please note that successful candidates will have to undergo a one-day orientation at the Blood Donation Centre.

 

Requirements:

  • Must possess Medical Degree recognised by the Singapore Medical Council
  • Doctors who are full registration with the Singapore Medical Council are preferred
  • Retired doctors are also welcome to apply
  • Must be able to perform duties on weekdays and/or weekends or public holidays
  • Ability to converse in Mandarin and other local dialects will be an advantage
