Responsibilities:
- To translate narrative descriptions of diseases, injuries and procedures into codes, according to a pre-defined casemix classification system. You are required to accurately abstract and code all inpatient and day surgery discharges with adherence to national and hospital coding standards.
- To communicate effectively with clinicians/coders on coding matters.
Requirements:
- Basic Medical Degree or State Registered Nurse qualification.
- Experience in clinical coding and 3M Encoder Grouper Software preferred.
- Good interpersonal and communication skill.
- Ability to work independently and a good team player.
- Healthcare professionals without coding experience but committed to pursue specialisation as a clinical coder are welcome to apply.
