Locums (Blood Donation Centre), Department of Laboratory Medicine

The Department of Laboratory Medicine, National University Hospital, is seeking candidates who are interested to join us as a Locum in the Blood Donation Centre.

 

Requirements:

 

• Must possess medical degrees recognized by the Singapore Medical Council.
• Must be able to perform duties on weekdays and/or weekends
• Must be able to converse in Mandarin, Malay or other local dialects
• Successful candidates will be responsible to check donors’ eligibility and to conduct medical screening on donors to determine their suitability for donation
• He/She will also be responsible to ensure donors’ safety throughout the donation process
• The National University Hospital conducts about 15-20 blood drives a year, and the minimum duration of a mobile blood drive is 4 hours per trip.

 

Please note that successful candidates will have to undergo a one-day orientation at the Blood Donation Centre.
