Manager, Investigational Medicine Unit

Job Purpose

Responsible for the daily operations of the Investigational Medicine Unit (IMU) including administrative (budget administration and manpower planning, training, development) and clinical trials management.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for all operational aspects of clinical trials conducted by IMU.
2. To develop and manage a team of Clinical Research Coordinators (CRCs) for clinical trials and research conducted by IMU
3. To develop and manage a team of Administrative staff to support the clinical operations for the clinical trials in IMU
4. To prepare, maintain and create IMU reports (Monthly and Ad-hoc reports).
5. To assist the IMU directors in reports / presentation preparations.
6. To organize scientific, committee and other professional meetings.
7. To Supervise, train, and mentor Clinical Research Coordinators.
8. Management of IMU Infrastructure Grant NMRC) and other external fundings to ensure proper financial accountability and timely management reporting.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements:

1. University Degree or Registered Nurse with 3 years or above working experience
2. Candidate with experience in the clinical research or regulatory affairs with be considered favorably
3. Excellent written and oral communication skills
4. Working knowledge of Singapore Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, International Conference on Harmonization GCP guidelines and current version of Declaration of Helsinki
5. Able to work independently and meticulously
6. Good listening and communication skills; Knowledge of different languages and dialects is advantageous
7. Possess strong interpersonal skills
8. Possess good supervisory and management skills
9. Possess leadership qualities.
