The Challenges
The NUHCS brings together the resources, expertise and capabilities in the areas of Cardiology, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery to better meet the needs of the growing number of patients with heart disease. A key National Centre for the treatment and management of complex cardiovascular diseases, its core clinical programmes include heart failure, congenital heart disease, acute coronary syndrome and vascular medicine and therapy.
We are looking to recruit qualified professionals with passion and drive, who are creative yet organised in providing solutions and have a dynamic attitude to work and life as a key member of the Finance team. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Performing financial forecasts, financial review and analysis. These involve identifying and analysing key drivers and providing timely analysis for strategic management decisions.
- Assisting the Centre on costing and price review of services and clinical trials, and analysis of Profit and Loss statements of business units.
- Supporting business units in operational projects and capital investment evaluations through Net Present Value (NPV) or other financial modeling techniques.
- Take charge of, coordinate and consolidate the annual budgeting cycle for the Centre.
The successful candidate should be IT centric and be familiar with financial IT tools and software. He/she must have costing experience and an analytical mindset. He/She must also ensure continuous improvement of internal controls and uphold financial integrity.
The Requirements
- A Degree in Accountancy/Finance or the equivalent with at least 4 years’ experience.
- A motivated and proactive good team player and also able to work independently.
- A strong analytical mind, and have good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with preparation of NPV statements (financial modeling) and in system implementation projections will be advantages.
