The Challenges
You will provide psychological services for both inpatients and outpatients as a member of a multi-disciplinary team within department of psychological medicine. The services would include psychological assessments, neuropsychological assessments, individual and group therapy. You will also contribute to mental health promotion programmes and provide guidance and training of psychological methods to other professionals or trainees within the team. There are opportunities to participate in or conduct research.
The Requirements
- Masters Degree in the following specialities such as Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology, Counselling Psychology, Health Psychology. Those with good Honours will be considered on a case by case basis.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant clinical experience required. Those trained in psychological assessments (IQ and Neuropsychological) would be preferred.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to speak a second language are a must (either Mandarin or Malay).
- A team player who is motivated to provide a high standard of patient care.
- A matured individual who is capable of decision-making and critical thinking and judgment in clinical matters
- Preferably holding or are eligible for a valid registration, license or practising certificate with an established or recognised psychological professional body such as SRP, APA, APS or BPS.
